About Dune Buggy Dubai
DTCM-licensed, desert-grown, 40-person team, one Business Bay office. The operator that writes its own content and runs its own fleet.
Who we are
Dune Buggy Dubai is a DTCM-licensed desert adventure operator based in Business Bay, Dubai. We run our own fleet of dune buggies, quad bikes, 4WDs and dirt bikes, and coordinate partner operations for hot air balloons and camel rides. The business is built around one idea: run fewer tours, run them better, and write honest content about what we actually do.
Our team is roughly 40 people — guides, drivers, a booking coordinator, mechanics, and a safety officer. Most of the guides are UAE residents with 5+ years of desert experience; a few are international staff with professional off-road backgrounds from Europe and North America.
What we run ourselves vs partner
Own fleet
Dune buggies (Can-Am, Polaris), quad bikes (Yamaha Raptor, Banshee), 4WDs (Toyota, Nissan), dirt bikes (KTM, Husqvarna).
Partner-run
Hot air balloons (via a DCAA-licensed balloon partner), camel rides (via a Bedouin-family stable partner), zipline (via Toro Verde at Jebel Jais).

Our story
We started in 2015 with three Yamaha Raptors, one Toyota Land Cruiser, and a booking email address. The first year we ran quad biking tours only. We added dune buggies in 2017, desert safari in 2018, dirt biking in 2020, and balloon coordination in 2022.
The decision to run our own fleet rather than subcontract was made in year one — it gives us quality control, vehicle rotation discipline, and the ability to tell guests exactly which machine they're getting. Every dune buggy we run is on a service logbook with oil changes every 50 hours and major services every 200 hours.
Today the team runs about 300 tours per week in peak season (November to March) and roughly 100 per week in summer. Our growth target isn't 'more tours' — it's better per-tour quality and longer-tenured guides. We'd rather retain a senior guide for 5 years than hire five new ones.
