1. Is desert safari worth it? — Yes, genuinely. It is the #1 rated tourist activity in Dubai for a reason. The combination of 4WD dune bashing, golden-hour photography, BBQ under the stars, and live cultural shows is hard to match anywhere else.
2. Is it safe? — Yes. Dune bashing feels wild but the vehicles are desert-built, the drivers are certified, and incident rates are statistically lower than city taxi travel.
3. How much should I pay? — AED 275 is the standard evening safari rate in 2026. Anything below AED 200 is either missing pickup, missing dinner, or operating outside the DTCM-licensed framework.

What time is pickup for an evening safari?+
Between 14:30 and 15:15 depending on your Dubai zone. Marina/JBR guests are picked up at 14:45, Downtown around 15:00, Deira around 14:30 (longer transfer). Your exact time comes by WhatsApp the day before.
What should I wear?+
Loose breathable clothes, closed-toe shoes (sandals fill with sand), a light jumper for the desert evening, and sunglasses. If you want the sunset Instagram shot, bring one colour that pops against the red dunes.
Will I get motion sickness on the dune bashing?+
Some people do. If you're prone to car sickness, eat a light snack 1–2 hours before, avoid caffeine, sit in the middle row (most stable), and tell your driver. He can soften the route.
Can I skip the dune bashing and go directly to the camp?+
Yes — tell us at booking or at pickup. We'll route you through a gentler direct transfer at the same price. This is a popular choice with grandparents and pregnant guests.
Is alcohol served at the camp?+
No. The desert zone operates under an alcohol-free licence per the land permit. Soft drinks, juices, water, Arabic coffee and karak tea are all free and unlimited.
Is there a prayer area at the camp?+
Yes — a marked prayer space with a qibla indicator and fresh water for wudu. Evening safaris overlap with Maghrib and Isha prayers.
Is there WiFi in the desert?+
No. Mobile signal is weak. This is part of the appeal — guests get 4 hours of screen-free time. Let your hotel/family know you'll be off-grid before the tour.
What if I'm pregnant?+
We recommend skipping the 4WD dune bashing portion. Our direct-to-camp option gives you the dinner, entertainment, camel ride and everything else — minus the bumpy part. Always check with your doctor first.
Is the camel ride an extra cost?+
Included on Premium and VIP packages. On the standard evening safari it's a 5-minute included photo ride; longer camel rides are an optional upgrade at the camp.
How long is the whole experience door-to-door?+
About 7 hours. Pickup 15:00, drop-off 22:00. Morning safari is shorter — 4 hours (07:00–11:00).
Can I cancel my booking?+
Free cancellation up to 12 hours before pickup. After that, a 50% charge applies. If we cancel (weather, sandstorm), you get a full refund or a reschedule — your choice.
Is desert safari safe during summer (June–August)?+
Yes, but we shift timings. Summer pickups are 16:30–17:00 (not 14:30) to avoid peak heat, and the dune bashing runs just before sunset. The camp stays slightly later to compensate.
Can I book just the camp, without the dune bashing?+
Yes — we sell camp-entry tickets for guests who don't want the 4WD. Lower price, same dinner and shows. Message us for the camp-only rate.
Do you cater to wheelchair users?+
Partial — the camp is mostly accessible (flat matting across the main area). Dune bashing is not wheelchair-friendly, but we can deliver you direct to camp at the same price. Tell us at booking.
