What is the 2-hour quad biking tour?

The 2-hour quad biking tour is our deep-desert option: 120 minutes of wheel time, a route that runs twice as far into the Lahbab dune sea as the 1-hour session, four photo stops, a halfway cold-drink break at a ridge viewpoint and a dedicated guide for your group. Price from AED 400 per rider on the kids-size quad, up to AED 795 on the Raptor 700 depending which of our 8 ATVs you pick. Best for guests who already know they love quad biking — first-timers are usually happier with the 60-minute package.

The 2-hour route, stop by stop

00–15
Warm-up on the flats

Extended warm-up loop — 5 minutes longer than the 1-hour tour. Guide tests your confidence before opening the throttle.

15–40
Eastern dune line

A ridge route 1-hour tours skip. Long, sweeping left-handers, one full climb to a 35-metre crest.

40–55
Photo stop #1 — ridge panorama

The highest point of our permitted area. Drone drops in. Cold water.

55–80
Hidden valley

A natural bowl the size of three football fields, wind-carved walls. This is the showcase section of the 2-hour tour.

80–95
Halfway break + photo #2 & #3

Cold drinks, snack, two photo stops at the viewpoint and a ridge frame. Legs get a rest.

95–120
Return leg + photo #4

Longer way home with one final sunset ridge photo. Roll back to base for cold towels and water.

2-hour FAQs

Is 2 hours too long for a first-timer?+

It can be. The 2-hour tour works best for riders who already have off-road experience or who are visibly comfortable after the first 30 minutes of a 1-hour session. First-timers are usually better off starting with 60 minutes.

What extra do you get in 2 hours vs 1?+

A deeper route, two extra photo stops, one long sweeping bowl most 1-hour tours skip, a halfway cold-drink break, and a dedicated guide for your group rather than a rotating one.

How much does 2 hours cost?+

From AED 400 per rider for the kids-size quad. Adult machines range AED 500 (SHARMAX) to AED 795 (Raptor 700) depending which of our 8 ATVs you pick. Fuel, gear, lead guide, insurance and hotel pickup are all included.

Will I be tired afterwards?+

Most guests feel it in their shoulders and core for about a day — a good tired, not a sore tired. If you are already fit it is no issue; if you aren't, the 1-hour session is the smarter choice.

Booked the Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo for sunset and my arms were sore for two days — worth every dirham. Machines felt brand new.

Evening Desert Safari with the BBQ dinner was the highlight of our whole Dubai trip. Fire show had the kids glued.

Yamaha Raptor 700 is genuinely fast, not a toy quad like some operators hand you. Guide kept the convoy tight on the dunes.

Pickup from our hotel in Marina was right on time and the driver knew exactly where he was going. Smooth from start to finish.

Took the 4 Seater Polaris RZR with my family — all four of us fit and the roll cage made my mother-in-law feel safe.

Hot air balloon at dawn then breakfast in the camp — faultless from pickup to drop-off. The falconry display was a lovely touch.

First time on a buggy and the Can-Am Maverick was easy to handle even for a nervous beginner. Staff kept the pace slow until I settled.

Rode the KTM 450 dirt bike after messaging on WhatsApp for pricing — the instructor spent a solid fifteen minutes on basics first.

Went with my sister for the Morning Desert Safari since we didn't want a late night. Dune bashing was smoother than I expected.

Loved that the belly dancer performed close enough that even the shy ones in our group got pulled up to dance. Great BBQ too.

Great value on the Private Morning Safari — just my wife and me with the driver, so we stopped for photos whenever we wanted.

Six of us did the Private Evening Safari with the BBQ — having our own vehicle meant zero waiting at each stop. Well run.

Sandboarding then the camel ride at the camp kept my two kids happy for hours, which honestly never happens. Booking was quick.

Rented the Can-Am Maverick X3 for the morning and it's a different beast — way more grip on the sand and real turbo punch.

My husband wanted a quad and I wanted a proper dinner, so the Evening Safari plus the 30-minute ATV solved the argument perfectly.

Second time booking a safari in Dubai and this crew beat the first company by a mile, especially on how organised the pickup was.

Kids on the fenced kids quad, us on the Kymco singles — the whole family rode and nobody felt left out. Helmets fit properly.

Honestly wasn't expecting much from a quad add-on, but 30 minutes on the Yamaha was one of the better parts of the whole safari.

Upgraded last minute to the Premium hot air balloon and the desert safari after landing was the best breakfast of the holiday.

Everything on the Evening Safari ran on time, which after two other operators cancelled on us felt like a small miracle.

Whole thing was set up over WhatsApp in about ten minutes — date, hotel, buggy choice, done. No back and forth, no deposit games.

Zero pressure the whole time — the lead guide read how confident each of us was and adjusted the route on the dunes to match.

Family-friendly from the first message — clear instructions before the drive, and the kids adored the camel ride at the camp.

Rode the COBRA single-seater on the fenced track before moving to open desert — perfect way to build up if you've never quad biked.

Picked us up from Al Sufouh exactly on schedule and the Land Cruiser driver was genuinely skilled — dune bashing like a rollercoaster.

Two-hour session on the 1000cc turbo buggy flew by. Sand everywhere, huge grins, and the roll cage never let us feel exposed.

Henna at the camp while my kids did the camel ride and everyone came home happy — rare with three under ten. Smooth operation.

Came for the sandboarding and stayed for the BBQ — honestly the food alone would make me book the Evening Safari again.

Solo traveller, did the Can-Am Maverick guided ride, and the crew looked after me the whole way. Never felt like just a number.

Spent our last evening at the camp and the fire show against the dark desert is one of those things photos just don't capture.

Hired the double-seater quad with my brother and it handled the Lahbab dunes better than any rental I've ridden back home.

No hidden charges at the camp — drinks, the shows, everything was exactly as the website said. Refreshing for Dubai, honestly.

Just back from the Yamaha Raptor 700 and it is properly fast — not the tired old machines other tour operators wheel out.

Went for the camel ride expecting a quick photo op and got a proper little trek across the dunes. Handler was great with nervous riders.

Whole trip exceeded what I'd pictured, mostly because of how empty the dunes felt even in peak season. Would book again in a heartbeat.
