Why sunset is the ride most guests remember

Sunset quad biking in Dubai is a 90-minute ride timed so the last 15 minutes fall inside the golden hour — when the sun is under 10° above the horizon and the Lahbab red sand turns almost orange. The route is built around two photo stops, one on a high ridge facing west, one on a low dune where you can frame riders against the sky. It costs AED 275, AED 25 more than the standard 1-hour daytime slot, and it's the format most guests quote as "the one thing I'd book again".

Sunset quad FAQ

What time should I book the sunset quad ride?+

Pickup is usually 3 hours before local sunset — the exact time depends on month. In winter that's around 14:30 pickup, 17:00 riding; in summer around 16:30 pickup, 19:00 riding.

Is the sunset format more expensive?+

Slightly — AED 275 versus AED 250 for the standard 1-hour daytime slot. The premium covers the golden-hour photo stop and a slightly longer route to catch the light.

Can I add dinner to the sunset quad tour?+

Yes — we combine it with the desert safari BBQ camp for about AED 499 total. See the with-bbq page for details.

How reliable is the sunset timing?+

Very. We run this slot daily and time the ride so the last 15 minutes are exactly in the golden hour. We plan around light, not traffic.
