What is the COBRA Single Seater Quad Bike?

The COBRA Single Seater is a beginner-class all-terrain vehicle (ATV) — one rider, four fat tires, a thumb-throttle on the right handlebar and hand-lever brakes. It runs an automatic CVT transmission (no gears to shift), which means you press the thumb lever to go and release to coast. It is the entry machine in our Dubai quad fleet — the same quad we hand to first-time riders, teens (14+) and adults who want to try a quad without committing to the open deep desert yet.

Unlike the Yamaha, Kymco and Raptor quads that ride the open Lahbab dunes, the COBRA stays on our fenced beginner track. The perimeter is marked, the top speed is managed, and on-track staff watch every rider. You still get real red sand under the wheels — just inside a controlled boundary. Because it runs on private desert land and stays off public roads, no driving license is required.

Price is per rider: AED 200 for 30 minutes, AED 350 for 1 hour, AED 550 for 2 hours. That covers the machine, helmet, goggles, fuel, briefing, supervision and Dubai hotel pickup. When you're ready to graduate, we'll move you to the Kymco or Yamaha on the open desert route.

Safety First

Why the Fenced Area Is the Safest First Ride

The COBRA single-seater is operated under the Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism (DTCM) licensing framework. Every unit is inspected before each session by our fleet team. Beginners ride on a fenced boundary — no blind crests, no getting lost, no unmarked drops — so the consequences of a small mistake stay small.

On-track staff watch from elevated positions and flag riders in at the first sign of trouble. Helmets and anti-sand goggles are mandatory — non-negotiable. The machine itself is speed-managed, so even at full throttle you're in a comfortable beginner range. By the end of the session most first-timers are confident enough to ask about moving to the open-desert Kymco.

What To Wear

  • 👕 Light, breathable long-sleeve top (keeps the sand off your arms)
  • 👖 Long trousers or jeans (not shorts — quads kick up sand at speed)
  • 👟 Closed shoes — sneakers or trainers. No sandals or flip-flops.
  • 🕶️ Sunglasses (we also provide goggles)
  • 🧴 Sunscreen SPF 30+ (desert sun is strong year-round)
  • 🧣 Light buff or scarf to wrap around nose/mouth if wind picks up
  • 💧 A small bottle of water (we also provide one)
  • 📸 Phone in a zip pocket or strap (no selfie sticks during the ride)

FAQ

COBRA Single Seater — Common Questions

Questions we get every day about this quad. For anything else — WhatsApp us.

How much is the COBRA Single Seater Quad Bike?+
The COBRA starts from AED 200 for a 30-minute session. 1-hour is AED 350, 2-hour is AED 550. Price is per rider and includes Convenient Hotel Pickup, helmet, goggles, briefing, fuel and on-track supervision. No hidden fees on the day.
Do I need a driving license to ride the COBRA?+
No. The COBRA runs on our fenced beginner track on private desert land, classified as off-road recreation, so no driving license is required. Minimum rider age is 14 — riders under 18 need a signed guardian consent.
Is the COBRA automatic or manual?+
Automatic CVT. No clutch, no gear shift. Thumb-lever throttle on the right handlebar, hand-lever brake on the left. That's why it's our most recommended quad for first-time riders.
What is a fenced area quad bike track?+
A boundary-marked section of the Lahbab desert with managed top speed and on-track staff supervision. You still ride real red sand — you just stay inside a controlled perimeter, so first-timers build confidence without the risk of going too fast into a blind crest.
What's included in the AED 200 starts-from price?+
Convenient Dubai hotel pickup & drop-off, 10-minute safety briefing, DOT-approved helmet, anti-sand goggles, full tank of fuel, on-track staff supervision, unlimited mineral water at camp, and all taxes. No hidden fees.
How is the COBRA different from the open-desert quads?+
The COBRA stays on our fenced beginner loop — shorter range, lower top speed, tighter supervision. Open-desert quads (Kymco, Yamaha, Raptor) ride unrestricted red dunes with a lead guide. Start on the COBRA if you've never ridden, then graduate up the ladder.
How do I book and what is the cancellation policy?+
Tap Book Now to reach us on WhatsApp. Send your date, preferred duration and hotel name — we confirm within minutes. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your pickup time (full refund). After 24 h we hold the deposit and let you reschedule within 30 days.

Booked the Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo for sunset and my arms were sore for two days — worth every dirham. Machines felt brand new.

Yamaha Raptor 700 is genuinely fast, not a toy quad like some operators hand you. Guide kept the convoy tight on the dunes.

Hot air balloon at dawn then breakfast in the camp — faultless from pickup to drop-off. The falconry display was a lovely touch.

First time on a buggy and the Can-Am Maverick was easy to handle even for a nervous beginner. Staff kept the pace slow until I settled.

Went with my sister for the Morning Desert Safari since we didn't want a late night. Dune bashing was smoother than I expected.

Loved that the belly dancer performed close enough that even the shy ones in our group got pulled up to dance. Great BBQ too.

Great value on the Private Morning Safari — just my wife and me with the driver, so we stopped for photos whenever we wanted.

Six of us did the Private Evening Safari with the BBQ — having our own vehicle meant zero waiting at each stop. Well run.
