Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) has something no other UAE emirate offers — real mountains. Jebel Jais rises to 1934 m, home to the world's longest zipline and the coolest air in the country (snow occasionally falls at the summit). Combined with the Al Wadi Desert Reserve and the beaches of Al Marjan Island, RAK is the UAE's most scenic adventure zone. You get dunes, mountains, beach and wildlife in a 40 km radius.

How far is Ras Al Khaimah from Dubai?+
About 75 minutes by road to the RAK city. Al Marjan Island and Al Wadi are ~75–90 minutes from Dubai Marina. Jebel Jais is another 45 minutes east.
Is there snow on Jebel Jais?+
Rarely — it has snowed only a handful of times in the last 20 years at the summit. But the temperature is consistently 10°C cooler than the coast, which is a big appeal in summer.
Can I see oryx on the Al Wadi safari?+
Yes — the Al Wadi Desert Reserve has a protected oryx herd plus Arabian gazelle. Sightings are almost guaranteed on the evening safari.
