Morning Desert Safari + 30-Min Quad Bike

Two red-sand adventures, one morning. A 30-minute Yamaha quad ride on the Lahbab open desert to start, then the 4WD dune bashing circuit with camel ride, sandboarding and refreshments. Bundled rate saves AED 135 versus booking the quad and safari separately. Back at your hotel before lunch.

What is the Morning Safari + 30-Min Quad Combo?

It's our Morning Desert Safari (4WD dune bashing + camel + sandboarding) paired with a 30-minute Yamaha quad bike ride on the Lahbab open-desert track. Both activities happen in one 4–5 hour morning — quad first while the sand is still firm and cool, then the 4WD dune bash, then a stop at the Bedouin camp for camel, sandboarding and refreshments.

Bundled rate is AED 290 per adult — AED 65 more than the standalone morning safari (AED 225), for a 30-minute quad ride that costs AED 200 booked separately. Children aged 3 and up can join the safari portion at the standard kids rate; the quad is 14+ only (Dubai off-road rules for shared desert tracks).

Pickup is 07:00–08:30, back at your hotel around 12:30–13:30 — rest of the day still yours for Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall or dinner. No BBQ included (that's on the evening combos).

Safety First

Two Activities, One Safety Standard

Both halves of this combo are operated under the Dubai DTCM licensing framework. The 4WD drivers are specifically trained for the Lahbab dune system; quad-ride lead guides are MEAI-certified off-road instructors. Every vehicle is inspected before each session.

For the quad portion, helmet and anti-sand goggles are mandatory. The lead rider picks the safe line through soft sand; you follow at your own pace. For the safari portion, every seat has a working seatbelt, and the driver will tone down aggressive dune bashing if anyone in your group has back/neck issues or is pregnant. First-aid kits in both vehicles; the Lahbab camp is radio-linked to emergency services.

What To Wear

  • 👕 Light long-sleeve top — morning Lahbab is cool Oct–Mar
  • 👖 Long trousers or jeans — essential for the quad ride
  • 👟 Closed shoes — sneakers or trainers. No sandals.
  • 🕶️ Sunglasses (we also provide goggles for the quad)
  • 🧴 Sunscreen SPF 30+
  • 🧣 Light buff or scarf for wind on the quad
  • 💧 Small water bottle (we also provide one)
  • 📸 Phone in a zip pocket or strap — not in hand during the quad
FAQ

Morning + Quad Combo — Common Questions

Questions we get every day about this bundle.

How much is the Morning Safari + 30-Min Quad Combo?+
AED 290 per adult. The combo bundles the 30-minute quad ride (usually AED 200 on its own) with the Morning Desert Safari (AED 225) — saves AED 135 versus booking them separately. Children 3+ ride the safari at the standard kids rate; quad minimum age is 16.
What's the minimum age for the quad ride?+
16 years for the open-desert quad portion. Safari dune bashing starts from age 3. Families with younger children can still book — kids under 16 skip the quad and enjoy the safari side only, at the shared safari child rate.
Do I need a driving license for the quad?+
No. Quad riding at Lahbab is classified as off-road recreation on private desert land — no license required. A 10-minute safety briefing covers thumb throttle, brakes and convoy rules.
How long is the combo day?+
4–5 hours door-to-door. Pickup 07:00–08:30, arrive at Lahbab ~45 min later, quad briefing + 30-min ride, 4WD dune bashing, camel, sandboarding, refreshments, drive back. At your hotel by 12:30–13:30.
Can I do dune bashing first and quad second?+
Standard order is quad first (while sand is cool and firm) then 4WD dune bashing. Can be reversed on request if driving conditions allow — mention it when booking on WhatsApp.
What is included in the AED 290 price?+
Convenient Hotel Pickup, 30-min Yamaha quad + helmet + goggles + fuel + briefing, 4WD dune bashing (20–25 min), 10-min camel, sandboarding, photo stop, unlimited mineral water, drop-off, all taxes. No BBQ — evening combos add that.
Cancellation policy?+

Booked the Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo for sunset and my arms were sore for two days — worth every dirham. Machines felt brand new.

Yamaha Raptor 700 is genuinely fast, not a toy quad like some operators hand you. Guide kept the convoy tight on the dunes.

First time on a buggy and the Can-Am Maverick was easy to handle even for a nervous beginner. Staff kept the pace slow until I settled.

Loved that the belly dancer performed close enough that even the shy ones in our group got pulled up to dance. Great BBQ too.

Great value on the Private Morning Safari — just my wife and me with the driver, so we stopped for photos whenever we wanted.

Six of us did the Private Evening Safari with the BBQ — having our own vehicle meant zero waiting at each stop. Well run.

Honestly wasn't expecting much from a quad add-on, but 30 minutes on the Yamaha was one of the better parts of the whole safari.
