What is a 4-seater dune buggy?
A 4-seater dune buggy is a purpose-built four-seat sport side-by-side off-road vehicle with two front bucket seats and two full-size rear bucket seats — not a jump seat. It has a longer wheelbase (117 inches) than the 2-seater variant, individual four-point safety harnesses for every occupant, and a factory welded roll cage rated for all four seats. Our 4-seater fleet in Dubai includes four real models: 4 Seater 1000 CC, 4 Seater 1000 CC Turbo, 4 Seater Can-Am Maverick Max, and flagship 4 Seater Can-Am X3 Max Turbo RR (195 HP) — all maintained to factory service standards.
The 4-seater is the most family-friendly dune buggy configuration in Dubai because it lets parents supervise children from the driver's seat throughout the entire experience. Children as young as age 6 can ride as passengers (with our free booster cushions and junior helmets), and the long wheelbase gives a smoother, less pitchy ride than the shorter 2-seaters — kids love it. Only the driver needs to be at least 18 years old. No driving licence is required since we operate on private desert land, not public roads. We provide hotel pickup, fuel, safety gear, a briefing, and a professional lead guide on a separate buggy for every session.

Child booster cushions free
We keep three sizes of booster cushion at the desert base so the four-point harness sits correctly on your child's collarbone, not their neck. Junior-size DOT helmets for ages 6-12 are also included. Everything is sanitised between uses.

The long wheelbase of the Can-Am Maverick Max and X3 Max Turbo RR absorbs dune pitches much better than the shorter 2-seaters. Kids report less "stomach drop" on crests — the ride feels more like a limousine and less like a rollercoaster.

How many people fit in a 4-seater dune buggy?
Exactly four — one driver and three passengers, each with their own bucket seat, individual four-point harness, and headrest. The 4 Seater Can-Am Maverick Max and 4 Seater Can-Am X3 Max Turbo RR are purpose-built UTVs, plus the 4 Seater 1000 CC range with a longer 117-inch wheelbase than their 2-seater siblings, so there is real legroom in the back row (not a cramped jump seat). Combined occupant weight up to 360 kg is fine.
Can I put children in a 4-seater dune buggy?
Yes. We welcome children from age 6 in the rear seats, provided a parent or guardian is the driver. We provide booster cushions so the shoulder harness sits correctly on the child's collarbone (not neck). Smaller children use our junior helmets. Below age 6 we recommend a desert safari instead, where they can enjoy the dunes from inside an air-conditioned 4×4 with seatbelts.
Is a 4-seater dune buggy slower than a 2-seater?
Very slightly on paper — 4-seaters weigh around 80-100 kg more due to the longer frame and are slightly less agile through tight dune sections. But both use the same engine (1000 CC CVT, 1000 CC Turbo paddle shift, Can-Am Max long-travel, Can-Am X3 Max Turbo RR 195 HP) and hit the same top speed on flat hardpack. On Dubai dunes, where you never reach top speed anyway, the difference is invisible to the driver.
Which 4-seater is better: 4 Seater 1000 CC Turbo or 4 Seater Can-Am X3 Max Turbo RR?
The 4 Seater Can-Am X3 Max Turbo RR is our flagship at 195 HP with FOX 2.5 shocks and long-travel suspension. The 4 Seater 1000 CC Turbo is the mid-tier Polaris paddle-shift option at AED 1,200. Rule of thumb: book the X3 Max Turbo RR if outright performance is the priority; book the 1000 CC Turbo if you want a more playful handling feel and lower price.
Can one driver take three children in a 4-seater dune buggy?
Yes — one adult driver with up to three children (minimum age 6) is our most common family configuration. All children use four-point harnesses with booster cushions if needed, and junior-sized helmets are provided. We assign a professional lead guide on a separate buggy to ride alongside your family for extra safety and supervision throughout the tour.
How much does a 4-seater dune buggy cost in Dubai?

Can I bring a car seat for a toddler in a 4-seater dune buggy?
No — the factory four-point harness is designed for occupants tall enough for the shoulder straps to sit on the collarbone, and there are no ISOFIX anchor points. Toddlers under age 6 cannot safely ride in a dune buggy. For families with toddlers we recommend our evening desert safari in a 4×4 — same dunes, same culture, same BBQ dinner, just inside a vehicle with conventional seatbelts and air conditioning.
Can the 4-seater dune buggy accommodate larger adults?
The 4-seater bucket seats accept up to 140 kg per occupant comfortably and the total 360 kg cabin load rating. Shoulder clearance in the front seats is better than the 2-seater. If any member of your group has comfort concerns, let us know when booking and we can reserve the more spacious Can-Am Maverick Max specifically.
