What is a 2-seater dune buggy?
A 2-seater dune buggy is a side-by-side off-road vehicle with exactly two bucket seats in the cockpit — one for the driver and one for a passenger. Unlike a quad bike (where only one person rides), or a 4-seater UTV (where up to four people share the vehicle), the 2-seater delivers all the horsepower to just two occupants, making it the most performance-focused, couple-friendly way to experience the Dubai desert. Our 2-seater fleet includes the entry 2 Seater 1000 CC, 2 Seater 1000 CC Turbo, premium 2 Seater Can-Am Maverick, and flagship 195 HP 2 Seater Can-Am X3 Turbo RR.
All three vehicles in the 2-seater fleet use the same cockpit architecture: two factory bucket seats separated by a low transmission tunnel, four-point OEM safety harnesses, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, and a full welded steel roll cage overhead. The 2-seater is the original dune-buggy configuration — when Polaris invented the modern sport UTV category in 2007, every RZR was a 2-seater before the 4-seater variants were introduced a few years later. No driving licence is required. The driver must be at least 18; passengers can be as young as 8 with a parent or guardian in the vehicle.

Do both people in a 2-seater dune buggy drive, or only one?
Only the driver drives. The passenger rides shotgun with their own four-point harness, headrest, and grab-handles. If you want to swap halfway through the session, just let the guide know at the mid-tour rest stop — we pause, swap seats, and continue. Only the driver needs to be 18 or older; passengers can be as young as 8 with a parent present.
Can two adults comfortably fit in a 2-seater dune buggy?
Yes — the 2 Seater Can-Am Maverick and Can-Am X3 Turbo RR are designed as adult-adult cockpits with full shoulder room and separated bucket seats. Anyone with a larger build or claustrophobia concerns may prefer the 4-seater MAX or XP 4 Turbo for extra shoulder clearance.

Is a 2-seater dune buggy a good date idea in Dubai?
One of the most-booked date experiences we offer. Couples consistently tell us the 2-seater buggy is their best desert memory — you share every dune crest, every photo, every laugh, and the cockpit is tight enough to actually hear each other over the engine. Can a solo traveler book a 2-seater dune buggy?
Absolutely — and you will still pay the same per-buggy rate. Many solo travellers book the 2-seater for more cockpit space and leave the passenger seat empty. If you would rather split costs, ask us when booking and we can match you with another solo traveller on the same day (subject to availability and comfort with sharing).
How much does a 2-seater dune buggy cost in Dubai?
From AED 299 for a 15-minute 2 Seater 1000 CC session up to AED 4,200 for a 2-hour 2 Seater Can-Am X3 Turbo RR flagship booking. Popular 1-hour options: 2 Seater 1000 CC (AED 899), 2 Seater 1000 CC Turbo (AED 1,200), 2 Seater Can-Am (AED 1,499), 2 Seater Can-Am X3 Turbo RR (AED 2,300). All prices are per buggy (driver + 1 passenger) and include Convenient Hotel Pickup, fuel, safety gear and guide.
Can children ride as passengers in a 2-seater dune buggy?
Yes, from age 8 and above — provided a parent or guardian is the driver. Children must be tall enough for the factory shoulder harness to sit on their shoulders (not their neck). We have booster cushions available at the base. Below age 8, we recommend the 4-seater MAX with a parent in the front and the child in the back.
Can I plan a desert proposal in a 2-seater dune buggy?
Yes, and we love helping with these. Tell us the plan when you book. We will stage a quiet dune-crest stop, brief your guide to hang back, and optionally arrange a written "Will You Marry Me?" in the sand with rose petals at a photogenic vantage point.
